The Cortina slopes have been attracting visitors for the past two centuries. Visit for a skiing holiday and find the unbelievably picturesque town and views in one of the most upmarket Italian resorts around. The ski resort simply oozes chic and the dramatic peaks provide the most perfect views. Another plus point is the food. You wont find any greasy and bland chips being sold here. Instead you will be treated to high end restaurant quality food that is typical of Northern Italy. The who’s who of the Italian world have been spotted here such as actresses and celebrities along with hollywood A-listers including likes of George Clooney. Back in the day it was known as the celebrity hangout for Audrey Hepburn and Bridgitte Bardot. Hence, the resort defintely promises luxury.

Courcheval is not simply one resort in France, it incorporates five separate ones which share the same ski slopes and it is the highest of them all. Here you can enjoy exploring one of the largest skiing areas in the world with the Paris Jet setters who like to hang out here. The resort has some of the best hotels and restaurants in the Alps and therefore this is reflected in the price making one of the priciest resorts also. But you can stay in some of the lower villages and your stay will be considerably cheaper but the slopes are still great!

The exclusive resorts of Lech and Zurs share a linked ski resort area which makes up part of the Arlberg ski domain. Be sure to expect excellent skiing for all ranging from beginner to expert with a total of 13 ski routes, 8 extreme ski routes and 7 high alpine touring runs. The two villages in Zurs are recommended for beginners while the Lech will be more appealing to intermediate skiers. All the villages are well connected via the lift system and the outside bar at Palmenalpe at the top of the Zugerberg lift is definitely recommended for a stop off and there are many mountain places to enjoy a nice lunch.

The Zermatt resort is nestled within a deep valley surrounded by towering mountains. Over the years, the village has expanded pretty rapidly and so now should be described more as a town than a village. There are no cars on the resort as every visitor must leave them behind in an underground car park and catch a train which makes the place strikingly but beautifully tranquil most of the time. All journeys happen on foot or by skiing. The food quality is extremely high but the prices vary but there are cosy restaurants everywhere.
