برگه ای از خاطرات هیجان انگیز یک storm chaser در آمریکا:

When the meso became rain wrapped, the storm soon got caught by the linear system which was coming from SW. Joined together made a healthy bow echo moving into IA.

In the evening we went ahead of it, but nothing too impressive with the shelf cloud. Just let it over and we waited for the anvil crawlers in the backsheared anvil.

Ended up in Lincoln, NE for the night and position ourselves towards NE Colorado this afternoon’s chase. At the end, we almost did 1000 miles in whole day and all went completely fine, target was done a day before and was a direct hit within 10mi radius (15mi SE of Norfolk, NE). Happy with the results!
Stay tuned!

Yet another day of photogenic supercells and tornado yesterday. We started in Clinton, OK and targeted an upslope flow storms in SE CO. Came S of La Junta just in time when first storm organized there, it was a dusty monster. Tons of blowing dust from it and lots of big gustnadoes around it. At some stage we noticed an RFD cut rounding the wall cloud and creating a big, dusty tornado just in front of us. It must have been ~200m wide at least. It was there for about 3min. Then we escaped from it and had big issues to come again out of it, it was incredibly windy and dusty!

We then dropped south to the isolated storm near Boise City, OK Panh and yet again, it was a spaceship look alike storm. Continued with it for about 3 hours while moving east, tons of good structure and lightning show. In the night we were shooting lightning and ended up in Guymon, OK.

Target for today seems like southern TX Panh into W TX, storms will come from upslope flow in E NM and from dryline across TX. Stay tuned.
