Solar Update
Good morning. Here is an updated look at the visible solar disk on Wednesday. Solar activity is currently at low levels with a number of C-Class flares being detected. Most of the activity is being observed around sunspot cluster 1968. The active region showed steady growth during the past 12 hours and could produce an isolated M-Class event. To the south, region 1967 is fairly stable this morning. The active region showed minor decay within the lead sector of the group, and some separation with the trailing section, however still possesses a Beta-Gamma-Delta configuration. Additional M-Class solar flares will be a possibility. In the southeast quadrant, sunspot 1971 expanded somewhat, but is not considered a threat for strong solar flares. New sunspot 1973 was numbered after it rotated into view off the east limb. Another sunspot group is rotating into view off the southeast limb and could be numbered later today.
