  • Create a new email message


  • Click the Insert File button on the toolbar. The Insert File dialog box will appear



  • Locate the file you would like to attach



  • Click the file once to select it



  • Click Insert. The Attach... field will appear

An attachment is a file that is attached to an email message. Outlook

inserts a paperclip icon next to email messages that have an attached

file. When you receive attachments from people, you will need to know how to open these files

Double-click the email message with the attachment. The message opens in a new window.


Double-click the file name in the Attachments: field. The Opening Mail Attachment dialog box will appear.

Click Open if the email message is from a trusted source. The attached file will appear.

Enter your own email address in the To: field.

Enter trial in the Subject field.

Attach a file to the email message.

When you use Outlook as your email client, there are many tasks that you'll

complete on a regular basis. Four basic tasks you need to know include

sorting, searching, printing, and deleting email messages

[h=5]To Sort Messages in Your Inbox:

Select Mail in the Navigation Pane.

Click Inbox in the Mail section

Click a subject heading to sort messages by that heading.
For example:


  • "From" arranges the messages in alphabetical order by the person who sent them.
  • "Received" arranges the messages in order by the date they were received.
  • "Size" arranges the messages from the largest to the smallest in file size, or vice versa.

To Search for a Specific Message:



Select Mail in the Navigation Pane.

Click Inbox in the Mail section

Click Find on the Standard toolbar. The Find bar will appear below the Standard toolbar.

Enter the words you would like to search for in the Look for: field.

Choose All Folders

Click Find Now. Outlook returns a possible list of choices that match your search criteria.

Select the message you would like to print.

Select File

Select the message you would like to delete

to use the spell check feature, format the message text, and save a

draft of the message, when necessary.

Start a new email message.

Enter text into the body field of the email message

Select Tools

Spelling and Grammar from the main menu. The Spelling

and Grammar dialog box will appear and the first misspelled word will be highlighted

Select the correct spelling from the Suggestions area if it appears.

Click Change or Change All, as appropriate.

OR



Select Ignore or Ignore All if the selection is correct as it is.

Continue checking the spelling and grammar box until the document is complete.

Click OK.

Start a new email message.


Enter text into the body field of the email message.


Highlight the text you wish to format with your mouse.

Use the formatting tools on the Standard toolbar to format the text.

Start a new email message.


Enter text into the body field of the email message.

in the upper, right corner of the message. A dialog box will appear.


Click Yes to save the changes to your email. A copy of the email will appear

in your Drafts folder. Outlook will hold your email message for you to send later.

Spell multiple words incorrectly as you type the text into this field.

Use the "spell check" feature to correct the misspelled words.
